End Carriage
An End Carriage in basic terms is one of the set of carriages that support the main crane gantry, the End carriages feature Drive units that transport the crane structure up and down the workshop length.
LT Motor
Drive the long travel motion of the crane (horizontal movement along the runway). Types: Squirrel cage motors, slip ring motors. Specifications: Voltage, power rating (kW or HP), RPM, duty cycle (S1-S8), and insulation class.
Limit Switch and Radio Remote Control
The limit switch prevents the crane from exceeding its maximum travel distance, an important element of overall safety. These switches will detect when the crane reaches either end of its path and shut down power to certain components as appropriate, including motors that would drive it beyond its limits.
C Track Festoon Cable System
A festoon cable system ensures that moving equipment continues to receive power supply, compressed air, or hydraulic fluid while it is in use. A cable support system is also used in conveyor and gantry crane machinery because a pinched cable or air hose can cause the machinery to shut down
